GCSE Results
Skipton Girls' High School students are celebrating their achievements today after receiving their GCSE exam results.
Headteacher, Martha Featherstone said: "Congratulations to all of our students and their families on this incredible milestone in their education. Their hard work and dedication have paid off and we are proud of each and every one of them. Over 70% of students achieved top grades of 8 or 9 and there were over 100 grade 9s achieved overall. There is much to celebrate and most importantly, these outcomes allow our students to progress to their next stage of education with confidence and pride."
Head of Sixth Form, Michael Blythe added, "GCSE outcomes provide an important foundation as students embark on the next stage of their education and students from SGHS are certainly well equipped for their next steps. We look forward to welcoming so many SGHS students back to our sixth form for the next exciting stage in their education and are delighted to be welcoming students who will be new to our school too."
A Level results:
Teachers at SGHS say the school’s students have much to celebrate after collecting their A Level results, with over a quarter of students achieving an average grade of A* or A.
Headteacher, Martha Featherstone, said “SGHS staff would like to congratulate our 2023-2024 cohort of students on their many achievements over their time with us, including their A-Level results that reflect their dedication and commitment to learning.
We wish them the very best as they move onto their next stages, whether that is university, a higher-level apprenticeship, employment or a gap year. Not only have they achieved superb results academically, but as a group they have been ambitious, creative, and compassionate in all their endeavors. We wish them well and look forward to hearing more about their next steps.”
