Art and Design

Our Intent

We want all children to gain and develop knowledge in art and design, over time they will explore and develop their creativity and imagination. They will have experiences with a wide variety of materials and be exposed to art and crafts both modern and historical. They will discuss and form opinions of work they appreciate and be able to build on their own ideas and those of other artists and their peers to develop and deep dive in their understanding. Children will understand that art and design is extremely important in culture and is an effective way to both understand, and show cultural traits.
