PE
Our Intent
The national curriculum for physical education aims to ensure that all pupils:
- develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities
- are physically active for sustained periods of time
- engage in competitive sports and activities
- lead healthy, active lives.
At Holycroft, we ensure that our PE curriculum is accessible to all. Our PE lessons are adapted accordingly to suit a range of abilities, offering scaffold and challenge when appropriate. We encourage our children and staff to be active as much as possible by implementing various strategies that they can access both at school and home. Throughout the programme of study, children will be exposed to a variety of sports with the aim of improving their stamina, fitness levels and enthusiasm for PE.
